June 9 marks World Accreditation Day 2020. Established by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), World Accreditation Day is celebrated each year to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation activities. Building on World Accreditation Day 2019, which highlighted the role of accreditation in adding value to supply chains, the 2020 World Accreditation Day spotlights accreditation’s role in improving food safety.
