As part of its commitment to global engagement, AAA’s International Operations Director recently attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) in Dublin, Ireland.
During the meeting, the CEO, Carsten Engel, highlighted several key achievements:
- Expansion of Educational Programs: In 2024, ISQua introduced two new fellowship courses.
- Strengthening Editorial Leadership: Paul Bowie has been appointed as the new Education Editor and will officially join ISQua in 2025.
- Growing Academic Impact: The International Journal for Quality in Health Care (IJQHC) continues to increase its impact factor.
- Successful Global Conference: The ISQua conference in Istanbul featured 400 speakers and received widespread recognition.
- New Edition of “Principles”: The 6th edition of the “Principles” is nearing its launch.
- Extensive Outreach: In 2024, ISQua’s Board members and CEO participated in 31 conferences and partner events worldwide.
- Expanding the IAQS Network: 23 new members joined the International Academy of Quality & Safety (IAQS).
- Sustainability Initiatives: ISQua introduced a “Green Paper and Call to Action” to drive environmental and healthcare quality improvements.
